Management Information System

The Management Information System is an important component of planning and implementation of  SSA.

Collection, Compilation, Analysis and Dissemination of data in the planning process are the important tasks of MIS. In addition to these, MIS Cell would be providing information on:

v     Access, enrolment, retention and quality issues.

v     Progress of  SSA implementation.

v     Acts as a decision support system.

 

Objectives of MIS:       

v    To create comprehensive State level databases on Elementary  Education.

v     TTo review the status every year.

v    Database will be updated at Mandal level./font>

v     To monitor the implementation of project activities.

v     To monitoring DISE data.

v     To provide and monitor CAL.

The State MIS Cell has a well-equipped computer lab with latest computers and printers. Computer facilities are provided to Administration, Finance, Civil Works, Library etc. Internet and      e-mail facilities have been provided to various sections. The cell is providing support for training, research, quantitative data analysis, State level management issues and other non-academic activities.

The SSA AP developed a web portal “ssa.ap.nic.in” with links to various useful websites and portals for instant information including online monitoring projects.

TTo achieve the aims and objectives of SSA the State MIS wing is playing a pivotal role in planning, implementing, monitoring and supervising SSA  activities and also providing training, guidance to district level personnel.

Activities During 2011-12:

1)                 Trainings / Workshops:

v    Training on usage of GMAPS application to Asst Programme officers, Data entry officers and MRPs.; 

v     Training on DISE format to Dy.E.Os. / DIET Lecturers / ASOs.

v Workshops on Computer Aided Learning  (CAL)

v     Printing of DISE formats

v     DISE Data Entry, compilation and generation of reports.

v     Submitted  DISE data to GOI

v     Web portal developed with URL http://ssa.ap.nic.in  updated with DISE data., school report cards developed b y NUEPA and online monitoring projects.

v     Developed financial & Physical management and computer education online monitoring software  for web portal.

v     Procured computer systems.

v     Hardware up gradation was done.

v     Procured  computer Books.

v     PProvided computer training to UP School teachers.

v     Implementation of CAL

2)                 Database Maintenance:

v     DISE Data at State and District level.

v     Child Info Data. at Mandal level.
