Rapid Assessment cum Identification of
Disabilities among 6-14 years age group children:

SSA has launched a special programme called ‘Rapid Assessment cum
Identification of Disabilities’ in
the month of July 2006, to identify children with special needs
within and out side
the schools in the entire state. Teachers have screened all school age
children of 6-14 years in the state under this programme
by involving Anganwadi Workers and ANMs
at the habitation level. Medical experts assessed such children to
identify their special needs.
